Patagonia, Argentina
La Josefina Gold-Silver Project
Santa Cruz Property Portfolio

Patagonia is one of Argentina’s newest and most aggressive mining exploration regions with a relatively short history of modern systematic exploration. Opportunities in Patagonia are available for the discovery of new precious metal deposits.

New Discoveries. Patagonia is home to a growing number of significant precious metal deposits including AngloGold Ashanti’s Cerro Vanguardia, Coeur's Mina Martha, Aquiline's Navidad, PanAmerican Silver’s Manantial Espejo, and Minera Andes' San Jose..

Geology. Gold and silver occurrences in Patagonia are found within an expansive 800,000 sq km region dominated by Jurassic-aged volcanic and sedimentary formations.

Stability and security. Argentina is a politically and socially stable country with progressive mining laws favorable to foreign investment. Inflation is under control, and the Argentine peso offers a favorable exchange rate with the U.S. dollar.

Favorable mining climate. Argentina has no federal royalties for mineral production, and only a modest NSR is retained by the provincial government in which the operating mine is located. A prolific local oil industry has contributed significantly to the development of infrastructure and service facilities.

The Great Basin (Western United States)
Dun Glen Gold Project

The Great Basin, also known as the Basin and Range, contains roughly 190,000 square miles of desert in Nevada, western Utah, southeast Oregon, and southeast California (larger than New York, Pennsylvania, and New England combined). The region contains approximately 75 million acres of federal lands that are currently open and available for staking.

Geology. Complex and dynamic geologic forces resulted in the formation of the Great Basin and are also responsible for the extraordinary abundance of mineral deposits within the region.

Leading gold producer. The State of Nevada is ranked as the No. 3 gold producer in the world behind only South Africa and Australia.

New discoveries are increasing. At least 70 precious metal deposits in the Great Basin have been found and placed into production in the last 20 years.

Major League focus. Mining giants Newmont, Barrick, AngloGold, and Placer Dome manage world-class precious metal mining operations throughout Nevada.

A great place to mine. Geologically, logistically, and politically, the Great Basin provides an exemplary environment for the discovery, development and production of new precious metal deposits.

The Sierra Madre Trend, Mexico
El Capitan Silver-Gold Project

The prolific gold-silver belt of the Sierra Madre Occidental has a known mining history dating over 400 years, with estimates of historical precious metal production as high as 40 million ounces of gold and 2 billion ounces of silver.

World-class silver producer.  Mexico is the world's second largest producer of silver with most of it being extracted from the states of Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Guanahuato, and Querétaro within the Sierra Madre.

Location and Geology.  The Sierra Madre is a northwest trending plateau with an average elevation exceeding 2000 meters, covering an area approximately 1,200 km long and 200-400 km wide extending southeast from the U.S.-Mexico border. The western portion contains a 300 km long NNW-trending belt of low to intermediate sulfidization, epithermal, polymetallic silver and gold mineralization extending along the southwest border of Chihuahua State. HuntMountain's El Capitan concession lies within this region.

Bright future.  Numerous gold and silver deposits being mined or undergoing development include Dolores (Minefinders), Palmarejo (Coeur), Mulatos (Alamos Gold), Ocampo (Gammon Lake), and El Sauzal (Goldcorp). Mexico's favorable business climate and stable economy will ensure the Sierra Madre's rich mining legacy continues well into the future.

Québec, Canada
Abitibi Properties

The Province of Québec, in eastern Canada, is celebrated as a land of opportunity for mineral development and has been ranked in the top five most attractive jurisdictions on the globe for exploration investment since 2001 by the Fraser Institute. Québec hosts numerous world-class precious and base metal deposits and contains vast under-explored territory waiting to reveal new discoveries.

Geology. Ninety percent of Québec’s bedrock consists of Precambrian rocks of the Canadian Shield, a geological assemblage world-renowned for its gold, copper, zinc, nickel, iron, and ilmenite deposits. Québec’s prolific Abitibi sub-province is one of the richest gold-producing regions in the world.

A helping hand. Québec’s favorable regulatory policies, low tax rates and generous incentives reduce the inherent risk of exploration and help attract capital to firms working in the province.

Best in class. In addition to a well-developed mining infrastructure, Québec boasts a highly-trained workforce with state-of-the-art training facilities and specialized research centers. Québec is a world leader in the collection and processing of geo-scientific data and employment of spatial reference data applications that identify prospective mineral deposits.
